EX#7 dots

dots:
this book cover design smartly use the dots to form the letter "P".
Although it's not a new style of using dot as a special font, it looks good in this book cover design. It's clean, simple, yet eye-catching.

EX#7 lines

Lines:
This is another book cover design.
the lines create a pattern, and also relates to the music sheet 5-lines.
the connected lines that form a circular ending give the audience a sense of fluidity in music and design.
Overall, this specific book cover design that highlights the element of lines has a swiss minimal design style.

EX#7 dimension

Dimension

This is a book cover graphic design from RISD.
The image shows this object with two different angles, where 3 dimension plays a role in the 2 dimensional graphic area.
This gives this book cover design certain depth.

EX#6

The first image:
It doesn't work for me, although it's not a bad design.
Without the interaction between the lamp and furniture, it's harder for the target audience to get a clear and straight forward visual message.

The second image:
It's such an excellent picture that shows the lamp as well as its relationship with the furniture set. It enhances a feeling of motion, movement, and interaction.

EX#5

polaroid camera
self-portrait
coffee
record of faces, motions
memory
necessary caffeine
sense of living quality
searching for the meaning of life

EX#3

This image is an example of visual design of color and shape.
All the circles are in red, while all the semicircles are in magenta.
All the triangles are in two different kinds of green, and squares are in gray/brown.
To me, the first poping-out objects in this image are the two shapes in blue, and the second are the red circles.
It makes sense according to the feature channels and hierarchies.
The blue is the brightest color in this image, while the shape of circle is one of the most pop-out shape in general.
